Why hotels pick Wexplo
The pains we actually solve.
You cannot staff a concierge desk 24 hours a day
Most mid-tier and boutique properties run with a front-desk agent doubling as concierge during day shifts and nothing after midnight. Guests arrive late, leave early, and ask for the same five things every time: best coffee, best dinner, walk to the old town, where to swim, what is on tonight. A pre-recorded audio guide answers those questions without a hire.
Printed welcome books age out the moment you print them
The bakery you printed in the welcome book closed last quarter. The walking route you recommend now passes a construction zone. Wexplo updates instantly through the dashboard; the QR card in the room never changes, the content behind it does.
International guests should hear their own language
A property that markets to UK, German, French, Spanish, and Brazilian guests should not hand every one of them an English brochure. Wexplo ships native-accent narration in 14 languages, so the guide your German guests hear was written in their language, not translated awkwardly at the desk.
Your branding has to be the first thing guests see
A guide that opens with a third-party logo is not your concierge layer. On the Business tier, Wexplo runs fully white-label at a custom domain (tour.yourhotel.com), so the guest experience reads as your property, end to end.
What we ship
A complete audio guide layer, out of the box.
Build a guide for the property, the neighborhood, or both. Add stops for the spa, the restaurant, the rooftop bar, the local market, the museum down the street. Print one QR card per room and a second sheet at reception. Guests do the rest.
Branded to your property
Custom colors, your wordmark, your photography. On the Business tier, full white-label with a custom domain (tour.yourhotel.com) and your favicon. Guests never see Wexplo branding once you turn it off.
Native-accent audio in 14 languages
Write each stop once; the platform translates and narrates in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Arabic. Brazilian guests do not get European Portuguese voice talent, and Spanish-speaking guests get appropriate regional voicing across our voice ladder.
In-room QR cards, ready to print
Download a branded A4 sheet with one card per room, the property name, and a poster frame designed for nightstand or door placement. No print shop coordination, no separate QR generator. Set it once and forget it; the guide updates from the dashboard.
No app install for guests
The QR opens the guide in the guest browser. Works on every iPhone and Android. No App Store dance for a 2-night stay, no signup, no friction at the moment a guest is settling in.
Per-stop analytics and guest behavior
See which stops guests finish, which neighborhood recommendations get re-scanned, which languages your audience actually selects. Surface the data with your revenue management team to inform the next quarter of marketing investment.
Multi-property, one dashboard
Operate three hotels under one management group? Each property gets its own site, its own QR codes, its own analytics, all under one admin login. Growth tier covers three properties; Business covers twenty.
Why now
What rented hardware and curated apps cannot do.
Each of these is a category-level fact about how Wexplo is built. No vendor names; see the competitor comparison pages for the head-to-head.
- Guests use their own phone. No tablet to clean, no docking station to maintain, no device loss to track.
- No app install. Guests scan and listen in their browser; the in-room friction is zero.
- 14 languages on every stop by default. International guests hear the property in their language without a per-language fee.
- Full white-label at a custom domain on the Business tier; your guests never see a third-party logo.
- Content updates instantly. Replace a closed restaurant in the dashboard at noon, the recommendation is gone for the next guest who scans.
Pricing
Growth, $149 a month, is the fit.
Growth covers 3 properties and 150 stops across them, the natural fit for a small group with a flagship and two satellites. Most independent hotels start on Starter ($49/mo) for a single property of 25 stops, then upgrade to Growth or Business when they roll out across the group.
Free tier: 1 site, 5 stops, all 14 languages. Starter $49/mo, Growth $149/mo, Business $399/mo, Enterprise custom. See full pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Can we white-label this with our hotel brand?
Yes. The Growth tier ($149/mo) removes Wexplo branding from the visitor page. The Business tier ($399/mo) ships full white-label with a custom domain (tour.yourhotel.com), your favicon, and your color palette across the guide. Guests never see a third-party logo unless you put one there.
How is this different from putting recommendations on our hotel app?
Most hotel apps require an install, a signup, and a profile, all friction for a guest staying two nights. Wexplo opens in the guest browser from a QR card on the nightstand. No install, no signup, no app store. Guests reach the recommendation in three seconds, in their language.
How long does setup take for a 20-stop hotel and neighborhood guide?
A first draft in English takes two to three hours of focused writing, often by your concierge or marketing lead. Translation into the other 13 languages and audio generation runs in parallel, about 90 seconds per language per stop, so the whole guide is live the same afternoon you start.
What about properties where the front desk is multilingual already?
The audio guide covers the after-hours and self-paced gaps the desk does not. Most concierge teams use it as a force multiplier: the desk handles complex requests, the guide handles the predictable 80% (restaurants, walks, museums, transport).
Can we add a property tour, a neighborhood tour, and an in-room amenity tour in one site?
Yes. Each Wexplo site can host as many stops as your plan allows; group them however you want. A common setup is 3 to 5 in-room amenity stops (TV remote, room safe, mini-bar policy), 5 to 8 property stops (rooftop, spa, restaurant), and 10 to 15 neighborhood stops (the bakery, the market, the museum, the walk).
A concierge layer that scales with your property.
Book a 20 minute demo and we will draft three stops from your hotel and your neighborhood on the call, generate them in 14 languages, and you can scan a QR card before we hang up. Or skip the call and start on the free tier today.
